Naskomoni of Virk

The Naskomoni of Virk On the 13th April 2016 I made contact with an alien civilisation who called themselves the Naskomoni. The Naskomoni Xenons live in hives on the continent of Naskomoni, on the Planet Virk; a green, humid, tropical globe that orbits the star Deneb.  Virk is orbited by two moons; the Blue moon of Elrog and the Red moon of Belrog. Deneb is located in the constellation of Cygnus the swan, and is one point of the summer triangle asterism; this star is located around 1550 light years away from Earth. It took me only a split second to get there, because I travelled there accidentally when I fell through a Wormhole anomaly that occurred on Earth. This tunnel between worlds collapsed upon my return to Earth, so there is no longer any way for me to re-visit or contact my friends on Virk. However I have managed to bring back with me a few objects from Virk. The following text is my account of this visit to a Naskomoni Hive.

The Lost Franklin Expedition

Franklin's lost expedition  was a  British  voyage of  Arctic exploration  led by  Captain   Sir John Franklin  that departed from  England  in 1845 aboard two ships,  HMS  Erebus  and  HMS  Terror . A  Royal Navy  officer and experienced explorer, Franklin had served on three previous Arctic expeditions, the latter two as commanding officer. His fourth and last, undertaken when he was 59, was meant to traverse the last unnavigated section of the  Northwest Passage . After a few early fatalities, the two ships became icebound in  Victoria Strait  near  King William Island  in the  Canadian Arctic , in what is today the territory of  Nunavut . The entire expedition, comprising 129 men, including Franklin, was lost. I'm going to be drawing these unlucky Victorian sailors for a while now. Thomas Jopson 1821-1849

Thomas Jopson and Francis Crozier's first meeting in 1839.                             The South Pole Expeditions with Captain Sir James Clark Ross and famous botanist Joseph Dalton Hooker.  Home port between missions to Antarctica, in Hobart, Van Dieman's land (Tasmania). Captain Crozier vs Tasmanian Tiger. Stuck in the ice. In 1845 Francis Crozier was selected as second in command of the Franklin expedition but he was only permitted to choose one crew member for HMS Terror. He chose Thomas Jopson. His affection for his steward unintentionally lead to Thomas Jopson's death.
