Colour June/July 2014

<< Stony Beach I drew this to music by Orbital. The figures positions and Landscape have been lifted from a picture by Caspar David Fredrick and, the bird is from Moebius and the clouds are inspired by Barbier. The Characters (Albani and Kivi) are from my one of my comics (E.S). I haven't introduced Kivi yet. I finally worked out how to do colours right. I feel without the figures this composition would have been quite boring.

Gold Dusk Is inspired by the song 'Gold Dust Woman' by Fleet-wood Mac, which I think is a very inspirational song and have a lot more ideas from it I haven't drawn yet. I came up with a hole E.S story ark based on the atmosphere it creates (Anubia). The culture of Obnixi (made up country from E.S) is basically Space Cowboys, these two are the Virkirk Brothers; Eathelwolf and Hanzik from Left to Right. Bits of this picture are Water Colour and bits are digital. 

Rothgarr and Albani This took a long time to make and I listened to Albums by Muse and Accept to keep me going. Rothgarr was sent to kill Albani for breaking a few rules, but Albani persuaded Rothgarr to hold off the duel and help him rescue a friend from a Slave Plantation. I used water colours and Designed their jackets from scratch.
