Abstract Sculptures- Bug Alien Forest
The one to the right was unfix-able, R.I.P Fleekus.
<--- Water and Oil is my favorite or my sculptures, this one smashed too but was easy to put back together again because it had no cracks. I used a combination of oranges, purples and turquoises to make an oily effect in the colours. It was a lot of fun to draw and looks completely different from every angel. I'll get around to drawing more pictures of these sculptures later.
<--- Tricada is a cross between a curled up Trilobite and a Cicada beetle. It looks closer to the beetle. I started wondering what color Trilobites and Animates really where and it turns out no one knows. Most sea creatures seam to have quite bright patterns and colors, so I think I have an idea for some future sculptures there.
Rainbow Spider Can be hung from the ceiling or put on a flat surface, ceramics are better to hook onto the wall if anything but I wasn't thinking strait when I made this. ---->
I was in the middle of painting it when the others smashed, thankfully, I don't think this one would have survived the fall if it had been completed by then, and it would have been if my tutor had remembered to put the models in the kiln on time, and that never happened cause she had to go to hospital, so I guess my luck wasn't too bad after all.
<--- Thorny Mantis Pillar
When I did a painting of a thorny mantis tail I was told it looked like a Caterpillar, so when sculpting one I gave it little eyes, and now it's more like a Caterpillar. Thorny Mantis's have different looking lumps on their tails, some are bigger, shinier and
more jewel-like than others, and I like to think this creature is evolving a jewel on it's back. The Model also took some inspiration from the Caddis Fly larvae, this is a creature that produces a glue substance and roles around in shiny pebbles, sand, beads, and bark, ect, in order to build up a beautiful armor around it's self.
